Judging Criteria
Best Dressed Women’s Race wear
Style and originality.
Appropriateness of the outfit for a day at the races.
The outfit is reflective of the season and must be appropriate to the weather on the day. (Tailor your outfit to not only the season but also Gladstone’s climate)
Attention to detail, including accessories.
Headwear is essential.
Understanding and interpretation of current fashion trends.
Grooming and deportment.
Remember- `Race wear’ is different to
normal fashion. Your outfit needs to be ladylike, elegant and sophisticated with
a modern twist. Don’t dress like you’re going out for a night on the town!
Best Millinery
Make a clear fashion statement while still complementing the overall outfit.
Style and design should demonstrate originality and be appropriate for the season.
Head wear should be individualised with original detail.
Judges
A panel suitably qualified judges are selected to judge Fashions on the Field.

The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Prizes
Gladstone Cup Prizes will be announced in June.
Race Day tips-
Elegance, Class and Style
Remember it’s the races not the nightclub- keep it classy.
Too much skin is never a good thing at the races.
Keep your hem lines just above or below the knee, nobody wants to see your bottom.
Make sure your outfit is coordinated.
Dress to your body shape, you will feel more comfortable.
